I consider myself primarily a painter, since my work is born from this discipline and I have studied it for many years. However I enjoy working with other media.
I started studying art under the naïve pretencion that art functions as a hermetic language of it´s own. That therefore I could skip my linguistic handicap in my mother´s tongue and my native tongue, which are both very different. Culturally the environments I come from are also very different, I am a rare breed, a czech-mexican.
I have worked on several themes in various media and formats: however, there is a characteristic line in all my artistic work, my interest in the human form.
I like to reflect upon existential issues, upon my proper physicality, human interaction and the absurd complexity of the body. I quite often ponder upon physicality, senses and languages inability of truly transmitting embodied experience.o
